| The 15 miles on Lily Bay Rd. between Sandy Bay and Kokadjo abound with moose at roadside from early spring into summer at dawn and dusk. A must drive. Numerous logging roads accessible by 2-wheel drive on either side. Believe it or not, one guest saw 19 moose around dusk on that drive, so be watchful! |

| A very short hike off the logging road on Elephant Mountain reveals the remains of a B-52 that crashed there in 1963. Parts of the aircraft can be found over several acres. Local snowmobile club maintains a memorial there. |
| Mt Kineo & Mt. Kineo Golf Course: 26 miles |
| Take the shuttle boat from Rockwood Landing for hiking on the mountain and a view from the 800’ cliff face. Fire tower on top. An easy 1-hour hike up (good with kids). This mountain was a tradition site where Indians harvested rhyolite, a particularly hard type of flint for arrowheads, spears and other stone tools. Also at Mt.
